In doing so, you will position yourself as somebody who is able to identify key development areas and subsequently make informed decisions as to how AltaSens’ raw CMOS image data should be processed. AltaSens is developing iSoC (imaging Systems on Chip) with integrated image processing, along with image pipelines realized in hardware and software. You will have a senior role in all three efforts. You will also be expected to have an active role in the characterization of iSoCs, evaluating the performance of all current and future designs.

The position requires the following knowledge and experience.

Essential:

  • Minimum 5 years experience within an image sensor industry (CCD or CMOS).

  • Proficiency in hardware/firmware and/or software development.

  • Programming ability in C, C++, C# or Java and/or experience in producing and verifying RTL.

  • Some knowledge of digital logic design.

  • Proven track record in delivering complex imaging systems.

  • Some knowledge of at least one mid to high-end imaging market segment.

  • Proven ability to conceive new image-processing algorithms.

  • Solid appreciation of statistical concepts.

  • Must be highly disciplined in producing high-quality documentation.

  • Excellent oral presentation skills.

  • Must be self-motivated and have a passion for imaging technologies.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of CMOS device processing.

  • Knowledge of an analytical software application such as Matlab or SAS.

  • Digital or analog ASIC design experience.
